Holland Expansion

Volunteer Support

To bring the Life Skills Program to life, we need a dedicated team of 30+ volunteers to walk alongside 15 Spanish-speaking families who are working hard to build brighter futures. Whether you love caring for kids, cooking meals, facilitating classes, or offering encouragement as a one-on-one peer support, there’s a place for you here.

This is more than volunteering, it’s about building real relationships, growing hope, and seeing transformation up close. Join us and make a lasting impact, one family at a time.

Annual Financial Support

Thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland, we have financial support to launch this program. We need your financial support to sustain this program.

$3,000 = average cost for one family to experience Life Skills for a year (this turns into $14,000 worth of resources!)

$45,000 = average total cost for all 15 Spanish-speaking families to experience the new program in Holland.

At Love Your Neighbor, collaboration isn’t just a core value, it’s a driving force behind everything we do, including how we fund our mission. Thanks to the generosity of our community partners, churches, businesses, and individuals, we’re able to build a sustainable financial model that reflects shared ownership and impact.

For our Life Skills program, we aim for just 20% of the total annual cost ($9,000) to be contributed by committed church and community partners. This strategic approach ensures broad-based support while empowering the partners to play a vital and manageable role as they also provide on-the-ground support through volunteers.

What do these funds cover? Weekly groceries, GoFresh cards for fresh foods, weekly gas vouchers, monthly housing subsidies, professional counseling, and emergency needs.

One-Time Asks

In addition to programming costs, emergency needs do come up. This is where your church can use benevolent funds to support the families you’re in relationship with. Our Life Skills Leaders will reach out directly for opportunities to support emergency needs.

Serving with Dignity

What if serving others also transformed you?

At Love Your Neighbor, we believe in an asset-based approach to service. Serving with Dignity shows, through a faith-based perspective, how this approach can strengthen relationships, enrich faith, and transform lives. Join the class and discover how you can serve with dignity!

Serving With Dignity is a 7-week, paradigm-shifting training based on the book of Philippians. It’s designed to equip you with practical tools and a new lens—one that sees every person you serve as full of dignity and potential.

You’ll walk away with 7 core principles, and a clearer understanding of how to help in ways that uplift rather than unintentionally harm. Instead of burnout or frustration, you’ll find renewed energy, deeper compassion, and real commitment to relationships.

Join us— and turn service from a project to a life-posture.
