Spreading the Love with Love Restored

In the Spring of 2013 a new volunteer at Love In the Name of Christ brought new life to our campus. Pam Steenstra saw great potential in many of the pieces we were selling in Love’s Treasures and the Outback Resale Shoppe. Her love for restoring furniture and making it into something beautiful overtook her and she blurted out “you know if I paint that, you’ll be able to get twice as much for it.” Love Restored, our furniture repurposing ministry, was born from the passion that lives within Pam.

Six years later, Love Restored is a thriving ministry that lives right in the center of our campus. Every Thursday, the Love Restored team comes together to work on their latest restorative and creative projects. Pam, the lead volunteer, says “we exist as a team to bring joy and encouragement to anyone in our shop or on Love INC’s campus. We believe strongly in the power of transformation which can be seen in our creations, and the way we nurture the hearts and souls of people in general.” The dedication and love that flows from the Love Restored house is simply contagious! The Love Restored team is creating and using their God-given gifts to serve their community. What a beautiful way to come together with other people and serve. If you are interested in using your gifts for this ministry, we would LOVE to have you! Please contact Kaitlin at [email protected] for more information.

Love Restored pieces are available for purchase in both of our resale shoppes and on Saturday, September 21, 2019, Love INC will be at the Septemberfest Craft Fair from 9-3 at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds. We will be selling a selection of the Love Restored pieces that the team has created! Spread the word and come out to show our Love Restored team support and share the love with the rest of the Hudsonville community. We can’t wait to see you there!
