Foster Care Fundraiser

by | Aug 18, 2016 | News & Notes

On Monday, August 22, Love In the Name of Christ will partner with Bid-2-Benefit Youth in Hudsonville and Holland to raise money for Love INC’s Foster Care Bags project.

Bid-2-Benefit Youth began in 2013 with a father-son duo, Duane and Matt Smith, who started receiving surplus from different companies, like Costco, World Market and Sam’s Club. They began reselling the items for extra cash and to help local youth ministries raise money for mission trips. Eventually, this developed into the auction side of Bid-2-Benefit-Youth which then evolved into their two retail locations in Holland and Hudsonville. B2BY has served over 30 churches and helped countless students raise money for mission trips, and on the 22nd, they’re donating 10% of all proceeds toward the collection of supplies for Love INC’s Foster Care Bags, which include age and gender appropriate items such as nightlights, shampoo, books and blankets. Love INC distributes between 300 – 400 Foster Care Bags annually, delivering them in February/March and then again September/October.

Join in on the partnership between B2BY and Love INC on August 22 by shopping at the B2BY’s Hudsonville or Holland retail location. Bid-2-Benefit Youth’s Hudsonville location can be found at 5790 Balsam Dr. and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Their Holland location is at 12330 James St. and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
