Yesterday, a young man came into Love’s Treasures to donate a crib. Unfortunately, because of all the changes and recalls of cribs, we no longer accept cribs at the store. HOWEVER, one volunteer heard about the crib and told the young man she knew of a family that had fallen on very hard times. Their new baby had no crib to sleep in and they were struggling financially. Might they have his crib? The young man agreed to bring in the crib and meet the volunteer to deliver the crib to the family. Today, the young man arrived on the Love INC campus to deliver the crib. Instead of bringing the crib he originally intended to donate, he brought a brand new crib, new mattress and a gift card for $200 to give to the family. He said, “God laid it on my heart to do this – from one family to another – Merry Christmas.”
